Napa Valley: The Place For Wine Lovers

For many wine lovers the opportunity of taking a tour through the many Napa Valley wineries is one that must not be passed up. The scenery is among the best in Northern California. Among the wines that are produced in Napa Valley are Frank Family, Caymus and Chandon. Napa Valley has maintained its place on the map as one of the best locations in the United States for growing prime wine grapes.

Each and every year many tourists visit Napa Valley simply to tour the different wineries and get a taste of the finer things in life. Actually, among all of the locations to visit in California, Napa Valley is on the top of the list. Combine the experience of the wineries and add in some of the flavor of the food and you have a recipe for a great time and a memorable experience.

In 1976 the Paris Wine Tasting results were revealed which were to the benefit of the Napa Valley. Two of the wines produced in Napa Valley proved to be better than many of the popular French produced wines. Cabernet Sauvignon and Napa Valley Chardonnay became a popular choice of wine. Without fail, Napa Valley continues to produce some of the best wines and is called home to hundreds of well known wineries.

Enjoying a tour through the wineries of Napa Valley will give you not only the experience of fine wines, but you will also be able to actually see how the production of these fine wines takes place. Let's not forget about the discounted price you can pay for these wines in Napa Valley. You will even be able to take home some of your favorite wine as a memento of your trip to the Napa Valley wineries without breaking the bank.

Although Napa Valley is a hot spot for many tourists, you will be surprised to find that the valley is only 35 miles long. This gives you the opportunity to visit all of the wineries and enjoy the sights without having to go back another day. Traveling from one side of the valley to the other side does not require a large amount of time, merely minutes of your time will be spent traveling.

You are also close to the major highways from the winery. Generally, for the winery most guests use highway 29. You can also use this highway to get to local hotels, shopping and restaurants. By using this one particular highway you can also go to each of the wineries in Napa Valley and at the end of highway 29 you will be only a short distance from San Francisco Bay. This further goes to show how conveniently located the Napa Valley wineries are.
