Napa Valley Guidebook To Howell Mountain Wineries

Just off the beaten path of Highway 29 in California is Howell Mountain Winery, home to the most popular wine in this excellent region of Napa Valley, Cabernet Sauvignon. While this region of Napa Valley is a must stop for those who enjoy a good Cabernet Sauvignon, it is often passed over due to its location.

Chateau Woltner - Originally established in the late nineteenth century, it is no longer in operation and is considered a ghost winery.

DR Stephens Estate - Using grapes from the Cavernos AVA in Napa Valley, this relatively small estate of 35 acres produces a Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Retro Cellars - Petite Sirah is the specialty of Retro Cellars. Retro uses Muscatine Vineyard grapes on Howell Mountain to produce its wine.
